Abdominal Massage Therapy as taught by Dr Rosita Arvigo with the Abdominal Therapy Collective
After years of working with chronic pain patients, Corey felt called to expand her knowledge and shift the direction of her practice towards Abdominal Therapy, specifically to women’s health. She traveled to Brighton, East Sussex in the United Kingdom to begin her training with the Abdominal Therapy Collective. As an abdominal therapist, Corey helps her clients to address many dysfunctions of abdomen including but not limited to uterine dysfunction, painful periods, adhesions and scar tissue, traumatic pregnancy, GI and bowel conditions, prolapse, held emotional trauma, and other conditions.
Following the teachings of Dr Rosita Arvigo, DN, these techniques are based on the Ancient Mayan Healing Practices. Dr Arvigo studied under Don Elijio Panti, the great Maya H’men of Belize, and Miss Hortence Robinson, an herbal midwife. They taught her the importance of improving the NAVEL (Nerve conduction, Arterial blood, Venous blood, Energy flow, and Lymphatic flow), or the five systems of flow.
